Organizers, Volunteers, Competitors, and Communities,
We are just six weeks away from the 2nd Targa Bambina. The schedule is finalized (set out below) and Mark Williams has completed 7-day on-course review of all Bambina stages. We have as a result, made some adjustments and clarifications to the course and developed a new and clearer course corner description diagram (immediately below). The route book is now in preparation and only the green check remains.
This week we will be holding both organizational and public meetings in Marystown and further meetings with Marystown, Burin and the remaining communities that are hosting the Bambina.
The Community Meeting will be taking place on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Location for the meeting is at Marystown Hotel and starting at 7:00 PM, it is open to the general public.
So, the schedule is set, the course ready and the lunches are in place. The individual menus will be confirmed this week.
Competitors and volunteers will be in for a special treat on Saturday. The leg will be ending at Smugglers Cove, Tom Hollett’s revitalized dream entertainment center. You will be very impressed by this totally revamped facility. In addition, we will be coordinated with Marystown to ensure we provide a special July 1st Canada Day celebration. This will be including the demo runs in Marystown to be held in the evening after the end of the leg.
We are still accepting volunteers to help with the community stages and functions, join us and help make this Burin Canada Day weekend extra special for all.
