Owned and operated by Newfoundland International Motorsports Limited, Targa Newfoundland is one of three internationally recognized Targa motorsports events in the world. The 2018 competition will start in St. John’s on September 15th and concludes back in the capital on September 22nd. The annual rally will cover more than 1,600 kilometers of the challenging, twisty roads of the central and eastern portion of Newfoundland, including over 440 kilometers of closed-road, flat-out Targa stages.
Bambina Newfoundland gives the opportunity for people with an interest in motorsports to try their hand at stage rallying, without having to commit to the time and effort that the full Targa would involve. This mini version of the internationally acclaimed competition will be held from June 29th – July 2nd and will consist of three days of competition, offering 16 competitive stages on the lower Burin Peninsula. Entry for this event is a fraction of the cost of the Targa, and the overall winner will gain free admission to Targa’s 17th annual event in September 2018.
